Oil Extraction Machines

Six presses from the 10 kg wooden marachekku to the 20 HP cold press expeller: every size of oil extraction machine the works builds, with capacities in kg per hour, motor ratings, phase and the published prices. Choose by seed and by how many kilograms a day you press.

Made in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Installed and serviced across India.

How to choose a oil extraction machine

Wooden press, rotary or expeller

The wooden marachekku gives the wood pressed oil that sells at a premium and presses 10 to 30 kg an hour. The rotary uses a cast mortar and runs 20 to 60 kg an hour on the same principle. The cold press expeller is a screw press for 50 to 300 kg an hour with a 7.5 to 20 HP motor.

Kilograms a day, not kilograms an hour

A press runs six to eight hours a day with cleaning in between. A shop selling 60 to 80 litres a day is a 10 kg wooden press; 150 to 250 kg of seed a day is the 30 kg mini rotary; a tonne a shift is the 10 HP expeller.

Single phase or three phase

Every wooden press up to 20 kg an hour, the micro rotary and the mini rotary come in single phase for a 230 V shop line. The 60 kg rotary and all the expellers need three phase.

Oil Extraction machine questions

Which oil extraction machine gives the highest oil yield?

The cold press expeller gives the most oil per kilogram of seed, about 40 to 42 percent from groundnut, because the screw presses at higher pressure. The wooden press gives 36 to 38 percent but the oil sells at a higher price per litre.

Can one machine press coconut, groundnut and sesame?

Yes. All six presses take copra, groundnut, sesame, sunflower, mustard and niger. Only the feed rate and the pressing time change and the works sets these at installation.

Not sure which press fits your seed and your day?

Ask the works

Tell us the seed, the kilograms a day and whether the site has three phase. The works replies with the press, the yield you can expect and a written price within one working day.
