How the cold press expeller works
Feed and screw
Cleaned seed drops from the stainless steel 304 hopper into a barrel of rings (14, 17 or 26 rings on a 17.5, 22 or 30 inch chamber), where the screw on an EN19 hardened main shaft presses it against the rings.
Low heat, no chemicals
Oil is squeezed out through the ring gaps into the SS304 oil tray while the cake leaves the end of the barrel. Nothing is added and the seed is not roasted, so flavour and nutrients stay in the oil. Three 1000 W tubular heaters only warm the barrel for a cold start.
Drive and controls
Crompton 960 rpm three phase motors of 7.5, 10 or 15 HP, with an inbuilt reverse-forward switch to clear a jam. Filter the pressed oil on the plate filter before bottling.

Kachi Ghani Working Process
Many buyers know this press as a kachi ghani machine, because it squeezes seed without roasting or chemicals. Seed drops from the stainless steel hopper into a barrel of rings, where the screw on an EN19 shaft presses it against the ring gaps. Oil runs into the stainless steel tray while cake leaves the barrel. Nothing is added during pressing, which helps keep the natural flavour of the oil. Three 1000 W tubular heaters only warm the barrel for a cold start and the reverse forward switch helps clear a jam. Filter the oil on a plate filter before bottling.
